Two or more DJ’s battling it out.
Who will be victorious? You decide.

  • Why choose a silent disco over a band?

We love a good band here at Silent Nights as much as anybody, however most bands generally perform for an hour and a half, (two forty-five minute sets), whereas at Silent Nights you get two and a half hours, with the option to book additional time. There’s also the obvious fact that you get two or more choices of music running at the same time; disco divas can be strutting their funky stuff whilst the rockers belt out Mr Brightside.

  • Do you supply the DJ’s or can we supply our own?

At Silent Nights we have some of the best ‘silent disco DJ’s’ in the UK available, ready to cater for your event. We are also happy to work alongside the venue’s usual DJ or a DJ of your choice. If you’re supplying your own DJ’s / entertainment, please see our Hire Headphones page.

You’ll often find DJ’s really bringing their ‘A-game’, performing at their very best at a silent disco. Whilst it’s a ‘friendly battle’, each DJ wants as many people as possible to listen to their channel. Of course, the real winners are always the audience getting to listen to such an epic showdown.

  • Can you cater for themed nights, like 70’s vs 80’s?

The music categories can be predetermined before the event commences or left to a fire at will, free for all, may the best DJ win. One of the most popular options when choosing to have a specialist event with two DJ’s is two different decades, e.g. 70’s vs 80’s or 80’s vs 90’s, but it can literally be anything – Boy Bands vs Girl Bands, Club Classics vs Rock & Indie, etc.

  • How many people can join in?

As many as you like. In very simple terms, imagine the transmitters as radio stations. There’s no limit to how many people can listen. Just like radio, as long as you are in ‘transmission range’, you can listen in. Instead of having say Heart and BBC Radio 1, you would have two DJ’s one ‘broadcasting’ on the blue channel and one on the red.

  • So how does it work?

Each DJ will have a transmitter set to a channel / colour of their choice. Usually this is Red vs Blue, but can be anything, it could even be Yellow vs Purple if you’re feeling adventurous. This will be their channel / colour for the duration of the event.

The DJ’s will take care of the making sure the volume is pretty well balanced throughout the event, however the headphones have an easy to adjust volume rocker switch if you want to make it louder or quieter in your headphones.

The headphones will illuminate different colours to represent which channel you are listening to. A quick push of the button on your headphones and you can swap endlessly between the DJ’s. You don’t need to take off your headphones if you don’t want to or swap with anybody, just push the button and hey presto your listing to the other DJ.
